.....IN THE BEGINNING

The Bee Gees

The Hollies
Music have always been a part of me.I really can't recall anytime when there was no music in my life. The first music that I've let into my life was also the first record that I've ever bought. It was The Marmalade's Baby Make It Soon. It made the Top Ten in the New Musical Express Chart in the August of 1969. The second music that I let into my life was an album by a certain chap called John Lennon. With these two purchases, I was led into a passionate love affair with music that lasted to this day. This passion was started of course by the greatest rock group of all time, The Beatles, which I will discuss in a separate blog. Along the way I've also discovered other music makers like The Rolling Stones, The Bee Gees, The Hollies, The Tremeloes, etc. After so many years of collecting first vinyls, a bit of cassettes and now CD, I can proudly say that I have first hand account and impact of those songs when they first made the round. Fads come and go but great music remained forever.

The Rolling Stones
How did I managed to acquired such a large collection of records and CDs. Well I started out keeping my lunch money that I was given for school. I would saved until I have enough to buy a record. This went on throughout my school days. And when I left school and started working, whenever I got my paycheck, I would head to the record shops and get my customary dose of music. This have continued almost the whole of my working life. I have slow down somewhat 'cos frankly I have ran out of  music to buy. I started buying CDs in 199I and I still visit the CD shops but I would head for the bargain section looking for any music that I may have overlook. So if you have any recollections of those golden years of oldies but definitely goodies, come with me on a journey back to those long gone days when music was music. I certainly want to relive those days of old but gold.
