THE PETER PAN OF POP, CLIFF RICHARD

CLIFF RICHARD. THE WHOLE STORY - HIS GREATEST HITS : Cliff Richard started his career as Britain's answer to Elvis Presley  but since Elvis' early demise, he have long since exceeded this early billing. He started out with the likes of clean cut pretty boy singers whom your parent will approve like Bobby Vee, Bobby Vinton, Frankie Avalone & Fabian but he have outlasted them all. I have always preferred Cliff to Elvis. Most of my favorite Cliff Richard's songs were from the sixties that includes, 'Livin' Doll', Travelling Light', The Young Ones, Summer Holiday, etc, etc. There are just too many to name. I didn't like 'Devil Woman' initially. Like The Bee Gees' 'Jive Talkin', it was something so different but in time it grew on me. This double CD gave me lots of happy memories. 'The Millennium Prayer' is a major piece of work that I absolutely loved and the video is so inspiring. Do watch it. DOP : 1st February 2001.

CLIFF RICHARD. MISS YOU NIGHTS. THE BALLAD COLLECTION : I got this second double CD of Cliff Richard for the songs missing in the first CD like ' A Voice In The Wilderness', 'Fall In Love With You', 'Outsider' and my all time favourite ' Lessons In Love' and also 'All My Love' I have to mention that I found an SP of ''When The Girl In Your Arms Is The Girl In Your Heart' around the house when I was still a small boy. Till today I haven't a clue who that record belongs to. Probably belongs to my father. Looking back to what I have written so far, I think I have mentioned quite a bit of records and hits of the day that were listened to by my father. Guess he is more hip then we gave him credit for. CLIFF RICHARD. BALLADS : There's a strange twist attached to this next Cliff Richard's CD "Ballads" I bought it but in the interest of upgrading my collection, I sold it to a friend of mine. After having done so, I started regretting 'cos there were quite a lot of songs here that were not included in the above collection. Then lo and behold, by a twist of fate, my wife's boss gave her this CD among other CDs that she doesn't want. Now it's with me and I am not parting with it for all the tea in China. Favorites includes the old evergreen ' All I Have To Do Is Dream', 'Donna' and a new version of 'The Young Ones'.
