ELVIS THE PELVIS, IT'S THE KING, ELVIS PRESLEY. PART 1

The King. Elvis the Pelvis finally. Actually I am not too much of an Elvis' fan but then Elvis being Elvis, I just have to have a few of his CDs right. So here goes.

ELVIS : BLUE HAWAII : I first got to hear this album courtesy of my father. He actually have the record. At least now I know where he got the inspiration for his hair style from. I got the CD version much later, of course. The songs here are awesome. Possibly the best Elvis soundtrack ever. 'Blue Hawaii', ‘No More', 'Moonlight Swim', 'Ku-U-I-Po' not to mention the sweetest Elvis ballad of all 'Can't Help Falling In Love' Sing this to your girl when you are playing the dating game. It never fails unless she have a heart of stone or no heart at all. DOP : 24th March 1997.

PRESLEY : THE ALL TIME GREATEST HITS : This was the first Elvis proper Greatest Hts Cd that I've bought. A double CD, it have all the hits that you expected from an Elvis; Greatest Hits CD. 'Heartbreak Hotel', 'Blue Suede Shoes' 'Jailhouse Rock', Suspicious' right to 'Moody Blue', his final album during his lifetime. I can't believe that they've left out 'Don't Be Cruel' and ' Little Sister' That means my Elvis collection is not complete yet and still pending till I got these two tracks. DOP : 24th March 1997.

ELVIS : THE OTHER SIDES : This was a double  CD box set. I got it for the songs ' I Need Your Love Tonight', 'Rip It Up, 'The Next Step Is Love' and 'I've Lost You'.  I don't play this CD as often as I should. It comes with a booklet and an envelope with a first day cover stamp of The King, dated January 8, 1993, Memphis, TN 38101. A Collector's item I suppose. DOP : 16th May 1997.

ELVIS PRESLEY : ARTIST OF THE CENTURY : I don't actually know why I bought this CD, "Artist Of The Century". other than it's cheap. Got it  in Singapore. The songs here that I like I already have and the songs that I don't, I don't really care for. Just to add to my collection I guess. I like the cover though. DOP : 10th May 2012.

ELVIS ISN'T DEAD : I got this, believe it or not, for a mere RM 5.00 'cos I wanna hear a discofied version of Elvis. It have 13 tracks here that includes, 'Little Sister', 'Hound Dog', 'Don't Be Cruel' etc,etc. Only 'Little Sister ' works.. The rest just didn't do it for me. I only play 'Little Sister' from this CD, and the rest well.......RM 5.00 for one song, I guess that's fair. And nope, this is not the 'Little Sister' or 'Don't Be Cruel' version that I want either. And oh, by the way, this is not the real thing, it's a cover version CD. Usually I don't buy cover version but for RM 5.00, what the heck. DOP : 6th July 2002.
