OLD STYLE LOVE SONGS. ORIGINAL ARTISTS. VOLUME 1 - 5. WITH BONUS PIANO COLLECTION : My second multi compilation CDs. Similar with the first set, it have 6 CDs, of which 5 were songs of the past and the 6th CD was a piano version of various popular songs. Sign. Compared to the first complilation, the songs here have a rather raw feel to them. Most of them were rerecorded with 1 or 2 members of the original groups and then passed off as the original. Well, they're not fooling me but nevertheless, they are enjoyable and they do fill the gaps of the missing links in my collections. DOP : Unknown.
OLD STYLE LOVE SONGS. VOLUME 1 : This first disc contains quite a numbers of songs that I like and I don't have. 'Suzie Darling', 'Hurt', 'Baby, I'm Yours', one of my favorite 70's song, 'Billy, Don't Be A Hero' not to mentioned 'She Wears My Ring' and the hard to find Christie's second single 'San Bernadino',though a remake it'll have to do 'cos I don't have this song.
OLD STYLE LOVE SONGS. VOLUME 3 : Disc No. 3 have 'It's My Party', '16 Candles', 'My Girl', 'Love Grows', All old time favorites and the songs are not bad at all.. On the contrary, most of them are good. I didn't mentioned them because I already have them in my other CDs. You'll know, just look at the song selections.
OLD STYLE LOVE SONGS. : VOLUME 4 : This one have 'I'll Keep You Satisfied', a Lennon / McCartney composition given to Billy J. Kramer & The Dakotas which was not included in their Greatest Hits CD. Unbelievably, this was also the first time I have 'Yellow River. Then there was ' The Crying Game' later to be remade by Boy George & The Culture Club for the movie of the same name. 'Son Of My Father' is also here. ’How Do You Do It' is also here, the song originally offered to The Beatles to record and to be released as a single. They recorded it but refused to release it as a single. So the hit went to Freddie & The Pacemakers.
OLD STYLE LOVE SONGS. VOLUME 5 : The last of the lot. This one have 'It's In His Kiss', a distinctive 60's type of song, 'Hey There, Lonely Girl' which was later remade by Donny Osmond. ‘In The Summertime' ,' You've Got Your Troubles' and the original 'She's Not There' later to be remade by Santana are all here.
OLD STYLE LOVE SONGS. PIANO INSTRUMENT : 23 tracks of instrumental popular songs. I didn't know that there are people who actually enjoyed this kind of stuffs. Still, I supposed it's a better alternative than taking sleeping pills when I can't sleep at night. Tracks includes ' Tennessee Wattze', Edelweiss', 'Auld Lang Syne' and 'Somewhere My Love'.
