WILLIE NELSON. 2 CD AUTOGRAPH COLLECTION : Sometimes, I amazed even myself. There I was just saying how sugary sweet Willie Nelson's voice was and here l found myself buying this CD. I remember when I bought it but I can't for the life of me remember why. Probably it's the price that attracted me more than the subject matter. 57 songs in all. and not one of them is familiar to me. I will, however, honored it by playing it at a later date and write more about it. DOP : 11th December 2011.THE PLATINUM COLLECTION. THE VERY BEST OF JOHNNY CASH . 28 ORIGINAL GREATEST HITS : I've always like the Man In Black. He got a straight no nonsense rugged voice that command you to hear when he sings. I remember staying up late to watch his “Johnny Cash Show" on TV. My favorites here are 'I Walk The Line', 'Folsom Prison Blues', and 'Don't Take Your Gun To Town', the last two even my son loves. His version of Bob Dylan's 'It Ain't Me Baby' was a hit, likewise 'Sunday Morning Coming Down' which gives Kris Kristofferson his first break. If not for Johnny Cash's cover of this song and his encouragement, Kris Kristofferson may well just continue with his daytime job as a janitor where Johnny Cash records and we would have lost a major star. DOP : 9th August 2007.
JOHNNY CASH & JUNE CARTER CASH. DUETS : Yet another CD that I got for dirt cheap. I've always like girl / boy duets and when I saw this on the bargain self, I grabbed it. June Carter married Johnny Cash in early 1968 and remained married till death does them apart. They died within days of each other. This CD consists of 16 tracks, which includes 'Jackson', Help Me Make It Through The Night' and and old favorites, 'If I Were A Carpenter'. DOP : Unknown
